.cb ELECTRONIC MAIL IS HERE
Better than telephone calls for one-way messages
. You can send the message any time of day or night
. You can take your time to compose the message and
say exactly what you want to say. The computer editor makes
changes easy.
. You get an immediate confirmation that the message
has been received at the other man's terminal.
. You and the recipient have a permanent record.
. You can send to a list just as easily as to one person.
No need to compose the message more than once.
Better than U.S. mail
. Immediate delivery (or use the low night telephone rates).
. No stamps to buy and lick.
. No trips to the mail box or post office.
. No envelopes.
All you need is an MH electronic mail terminal. Take it home,
plug it in to a telephone jack, and you are ready to type messages
and receive them. Complete instructions are provided,
but here is a simple example:
You want to tell your friend George that you can't go fishing tomorrow,
so you type on your terminal
MAIL GEORGE I can't go fishing tomorrow.
When George looks at his terminal he sees the message, because it's short -
if he hasn't received too many messages to fit on its screen.
Otherwise he sees a list of messages, and he can look at them one at
a time. Of course, you must already have put in your terminal the
telephone number of George's terminal into a list of your friends' numbers
that you keep in your terminal.
If you haven't put George's number in your list,
you must write the number instead of George's name.
If you have put the names and numbers of the members of your bridge club in the
terminal, you could just type
MAIL BRIDGECLUB Meeting Friday at my house.
and each of them will receive the message.

The MH mail terminal brings the benefits of computer technology to
the individual. Besides sending and receiving messages,
.The MH terminal keeps your files of messages.
.You can send messages to yourself and your family members
that will remind about important dates.
.You can use your MH terminal to reference the MH Databank
for the numbers of other mail terminal subscribers anywhere in the
world. The numbers are always up-to-date. If you go on a trip,
you can change your number in the Data Bank at any time. The MH
Databank always has the late news digest on file, the latest stock
reports, and much other useful information that is always up-to-date.
